Nhân vật chính của truyện là Tiểu Ngang Tinh, hay còn gọi là A Ngang, một cậu bé 13 tuổi có quyết tâm sáng tạo và tìm tòi những bí quyết độc đáo nhất để tạo ra những món ăn ngon, phục vụ thực khách. Trên bước đường phiêu lưu học hỏi của mình, A Ngang đã gặp nhiều đối thủ, và nhiều trong số đó sau này đã trở thành bạn của A Ngang, đồng hành cùng A Ngang trong cuộc chiến chống giới ẩm thực đen, một tổ chức lợi dụng các món ăn để thôn tính mọi người.<p></p><p>Xuyên suốt bộ truyện là cuộc hành trình vươn đến những đỉnh cao trong nghề nấu nướng của A Ngang, là cuộc chiến trường kỳ giữa A Ngang cùng những người bạn và giới ẩm thực đen. Đây là một bộ truyện về ẩm thực rất đáng để xem, tình tiết cũng hấp dẫn như Đầu bếp thần sầu.</p><p>Về nguồn gốc truyện (:D), 19 tập đầu là NhocConan download từ Vuilen.com, nhưng đáng tiếc là website này không post tiếp tập cuối cùng, là tập 20 (không rõ lý do). Vừa rồi, nhocconan đã mượn truyện của anh Great White Shark về, rồi chụp hình lại tập 20 để bộ truyện được đầy đủ (^.^). Do chụp khá gấp, nên hình ảnh có thể không được rõ nét, có vài hình khá mờ (do nhocconan kô sử dụng thành thạo máy chụp hình để cân bằng độ sáng). Nhưng dù sao, có đủ bộ để đọc cũng là vui rồi :).
